To calibrate thermometers if there is a break in the liquid, get some dry ice and rubbing alcohol and it will force the liquid down. I really need to talk to our math department to figure out how we can use some of this stuff.
What questions do you still have with regard to content, technology, and pedagogy? content – I would like some more on 5e learning cycle. technology – grants? pedagogy – again did we do this?
How can you apply this to your classroom practice? using the graphing calculators to collect data in addition to pen and paper collections, I think our math department could then do the slope and other mathy things with real data that is relevant to what students are thinking and doing.
